Again, you guys know the score…
I will try to keep this short as I am fully aware that the content of box boxes is generally plastered absolutely everywhere. So I will just give a quick description from the spoiler card and a super short opinion.
Once again, this wasn’t my favorite box, as I have mentioned it before I am into the subscription boxes for the books (if only BOTM shipped to UK) and the book just wasn’t what I was expecting and not something I would generally pick up AGAIN.
I wasnt very enthusiastic about anything in my box as I had seen it daily for over a week on Instagram…
I received the box about 10 days late, the first box just went missing.
And although I have all of the books on myself I have read very little of the books that this box is referencing, aside from the Grisha trilogy which I thought was garbage.
So I canceled my subscription… FINALLY. only to resubscribe when I discovered what was going to be in next months box… because I am weak and pathetic.
Anyway check out what I received down below….
Exclusive High Warlock Candle from In The Wick of Time – A candle inspired by Magnus Bane from The Mortal Instruments (I haven’t read TMI or any C.C. series yet :O) although the size of a thimble this does smell delicious, from memory I believe it was Sandlewood and Lavender.
Hot Chocolate for Sassy Demi-Gods by Brontie & Co. – Once again a really great yet super random item. I cant wait to try this. And bonus points for being vegan. Inspired by Percy Jackson.
Exclusive Rattle the Stars Beanie designed by Reverie & Ink – This is my fave item of all time. It is really high quality and I cant wait to wear it. Inspired by Celaena Sardothien from ToG.
Exclusive Solely Swear Magnet by Ink and Wonder Designs – Perfect for any Weasley fans. This design is incredible, even if it is lost on my old grubby fridge.
Exclusive Bad Ideas Notepad by Alexis Lampley – This gorgeous design was inspired by the super sassy Nikoli Lantsov (my fave character in that trash series) and I am down for any thing that brightens up my desk!
Exclusive Nonsense Tote Bag by Miss Phi – I love all of Miss Phi’s designs and this is no exception. I think I will actually turn it into a cushion cover to get more use out of it.
Artwork Pieces by Taratjah – Two exclusive prints inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic and Lunar Chronicles (both series on my shelf unread, but i am DESPERATE to read them, #TBRStruggles.
Bonus items included a Tower of Dawn bookmark and A Gentleman Guide to Vice & Virtue Sampler.
Even The Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett with a signed bookplate and author letter –
Kamzin has always dreamed of becoming one of the Emperor’s royal explorers, the elite climbers tasked with mapping the wintry, mountainous Empire and spying on its enemies. She knows she could be the best in the world, if only someone would give her a chance.
But everything changes when the mysterious and eccentric River Shara, the greatest explorer ever known, arrives in her village and demands to hire Kamzin–not her older sister Lusha, as everyone had expected–for his next expedition. This is Kamzin’s chance to prove herself–even though River’s mission to retrieve a rare talisman for the emperor means climbing Raksha, the tallest and deadliest mountain in the Aryas. Then Lusha sets off on her own mission to Raksha with a rival explorer who is determined to best River, and Kamzin must decide what’s most important to her: protecting her sister from the countless perils of the climb or beating her to the summit.
The challenges of climbing Raksha are unlike anything Kamzin expected–or prepared for–with avalanches, ice chasms, ghosts, and even worse at every turn. And as dark secrets are revealed, Kamzin must unravel the truth of their mission and of her companions–while surviving the deadliest climb she has ever faced.
